Amazon is seeking a Partner Sales Manager to join our AWS Telco Industry team to lead our joint go-to-market partnerships with customers in the Middle East and Africa (MEA). This is a unique opportunity to join a tight-knit and deeply-networked group that grows strategic customer relationships through joint-go-to-market innovations.
We are looking for someone who cares deeply about data protection and privacy to be responsible for improving how AWS helps telco customers in the Middle East, and Africa, primarily with digital sovereignty and cloud offerings. You will drive the commercial strategy for our joint-go-to-market agreements with telcos across the region, working closely with the AWS service, partner, and sales teams. You will work directly with customers to understand needs and how best AWS can partner with the telco to create an attractive value proposition for end-customers in the public sector, regulated industry, and enterprise segments.
As a Partner Sales Manager, you will be responsible for generating, managing, and executing complex partnership activities and delivery of solutions for customers in the Telco market segment. Our projects are high-impact in nature, require a centralized advocate to succeed, and will offer significant benefits to AWS, other Amazon businesses, and our customers. While you do not have to be deeply technical, you are comfortable in technical conversations with customers to understand constraints are holding customers back and what may just be fear, uncertainty, and doubt. This role requires coordination across many internal and external teams and will be visible at the highest levels of the company and you will have a track record showing that you execute both strategically and tactically.
This PSM leader in this role will solve complex, multi-faceted problems and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. They will negotiate with customers and partners, and lead internally through influence with a talent for combining data and vision into a compelling partnership story. The ideal candidate will possess a business background that enables him/her to engage at the CxO level both within Enterprise Customers, Public Sector, and Partners and to easily interact with all customers segments.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the Digital Sovereign joint go-to-market initiatives across the Telco industry market segments, mainly in MEA
• Leading through influence seamlessly across internal and external teams.
• Communicating effectively with diverse business, technical, and executive audiences.
• Analyzing business models to go deep on the customer’s needs.
• Developing an array of partnership constructs, including: technical, go-to-market and sponsorship/brand and more.
• Taking the lead to identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage partnerships that can involve marketing, content, commerce, and technology components.
• Evaluating the economic and strategic cost-benefit of partnerships.
• Developing best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
– Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalent
– Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, collaboration, organization, and operations excellence skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience selling cloud solutions at a software company or equivalent and Telco industry experience and sales experience and executive relationships in MEA public and commercial sector
– Experience with AWS and technology as a service (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS)
– Experience in data protection or digital sovereign solutions and delivered solutions on of public cloud technologies to facilitate realization of business strategy
– Business fluency in Arabic or French
