Job Requirement:

We are looking for a “Waiter” for our multiple venues –

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to the St. Regis Standards to ensure superior service.
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. 
  • Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations. 
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. 
  • Greet and escort guests to their tables
  • Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about portions, ingredients or potential food allergies)
  • Adhere to timing standards for products and services
  • Inform guests about the day’s specials
  • Offer menu recommendations upon request.
  • Make suggestions based on their preferences.
  • Up-sell additional products when appropriate
  • Take accurate food and drinks orders, using MICROS software
  • Check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
  • Communicate order details to the kitchen
  • Serve food and drink orders. Ensure hot food is hot and cold food is cold
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor / Diploma holder in Hotel Management is preferred.
  • Prior work experience preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Must have computer skills and working knowledge in Micros.
  • Must be proficient in writing, speaking and negotiating in English.
