Line of Service Overview

Our Middle East Assurance practice includes over 2,300 people based in 12 countries across the region and is part of PwC’s global network that is operating worldwide. PwC Middle East’s Assurance practice combines the right mix of human-led and tech powered solutions to provide our clients with quality audits and other risk services that create confidence and impact in our region and across society.

Business Unit Overview

Middle East Assurance Center of Excellence is the PwC ME’s assurance alternative delivery setup Since launching in 2013, the delivery center has been providing  a broad range of services to the Assurance business enabling growth and value creation by driving new ways of working to deliver quality and operational efficiency.
 

Our center of excellence was established to help the business meet unique resource and service delivery needs, become more competitive in the market and to enhance our value proposition – to our clients and our people.

Our rapidly evolving delivery center network across the Middle East (Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and UAE) incubates expertise to help unlock new opportunities through collaboration, automation, competency building and skill enhancement.
 

In this regional business unit we perform specific audit and administrative activities. Our digital services are developed with a process-driven approach with corresponding training and technology. Financial statements are a core deliverable within this process, they have to be drafted, checked and reviewed against a reporting framework checklist and finally translated. Your knowledge in accounting and reporting standards will grow through this experience. New services are constantly developed in this growing area of the Assurance practice.

 

What is expected from you? 

As a Manager in the Assurance Center of Excellence, you will be in charge of managing multiple team members, assigning tasks, ensuring timely completion of projects, and solving problems that arise during the course of work.  Your job duties will include but will not be limited to:

  • Overseeing the team’s performance including tasks assignment and progress monitoring

  • Ensuring timely and efficient completion of services and deliverables

  • Performing necessary procedures to support the timely delivery of service outputs

  • Liaising with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth end-to-end service delivery, covering day-to-day operations and lifecycle management

  • Monitoring service performance and facilitating continual service improvement processes

  • Implementing action plans, identifying opportunities to meet budgeted service hours and other KPIs, and intervening when issues arise

  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery, including providing appropriate training

  • Collaborating with other teams and departments to achieve organisational goals

  • Addressing resource challenges arising from changes in service requests on an ad hoc basis

  • Managing a team of junior members, including behaviour supervision, pastoral care and wellbeing

  • Demonstrating ethical leadership, fostering open communication and providing guidance to junior team members

  • Identifying wrongful behaviours, solving problems, and escalating issues as necessary

  • Conducting regular quality checks and performance reviews, and providing feedback to team members

  • Monitoring feedback and managing escalations effectively

  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

  • Ensuring compliance with risk, quality and independence standards

  • Following up with junior members regarding any missed compliance deadlines

  • Developing internal and external relationships while reflecting PwC values on your day to day work within diverse teams

  • Committing to continuous education and digital upskilling 

What will you bring?

You are ambitious and get use of opportunities to grow and develop. In addition, you recognise yourself in the following characteristics:

  • A UAE national with a family book

  • Extensive experience in managing projects and multiple team members

  • Professional qualification, such as a PMP, is preferred

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment

  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English is a must. 

  • Business development and client relationship building skills

  • Willingness to challenge the ‘norms’ and  to create a cohesive and effective working team

  • Excellent project management skills

  • Knowledge in using technologies, and experience using Data Analytics tools is a plus

  • Commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
