Job Description & Summary

Our Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team offers strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders – regional and international corporates, leading private equity houses, family offices, major banks, funds, government entities, and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions or investment opportunities. We deliver deep strategic, commercial and operational insights to help clients think through investment/divestment decisions about businesses. We advise our clients on critical operational and transformational challenges, and evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, to deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’ commercial and operational outlook. Our main focus is to deliver top strategy-led solutions to our clients.

The Role

As a DSO Consumer Goods or Media Senior Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work on transactions pre and post deal related to the Consumer Goods vertical of our Deals Consumer Market practice 

  • Complete deal strategy, market assessments and commercial viability for mergers and acquisitions in the Consumer Goods space

  • Solving clients’ problems by structuring analysis, applying analytical frameworks, and conceptualizing strategy development

  • Providing strategic and operational advice for our clients, with focus on pre-deal work

  • Supporting clients (private and public sector) in their localization efforts through value chain analysis, identification of investment opportunities and conduction of feasibility studies 

  • Developing market assessment, commercial due diligence, business plan and corporate strategy for clients in the Industrials sector

  • Overseeing the successful delivery of projects, which may include multiple projects at a time

  • Managing the client relationship on a day-to-day basis including other stakeholders

  • Supporting on business development efforts across key geographies in the GCC 

  • Project budgeting and management, along with coaching and resource management on a portfolio of clients

The Requirements

  • Relevant experience within the M&A space, preferably from a professional services background within the Consumer Market/Goods or Media industry 

  • Successful when leading teams and delivering projects through to completion

  • Eager to build long lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to identify value add opportunities for existing and potential clients

  • Success in providing transaction-related services such as market assessments, Commercial Due Diligences, Operational Due Diligences

  • Open to build collaborative working relationships at all levels, establishing credibility both internally and externally

  • Evidence of contributing to the wider team and leading on successful business development opportunities

  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

  • Managing project workstreams and developing proposals, deliverables and reports using the Google suite 

  • Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences

  • Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers

  • Your flexibility to travel 60%-80% of the time depending on your base location. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
