DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join the Digital Media team. This role is a fixed term contract for one year.

Technical Account Managers serve in a pivotal role, leading strategic vendor engagements and drive category growth across Digital Media category

Successful candidates must work well in a fast-paced and often ambiguous arena, and will be rewarded by working alongside highly collaborative and entrepreneurial colleagues in an environment that feels much more “startup” than “big company”.

Key job responsibilities
Primary responsibilities of this role:

– Establishing strong relationships with internal business stakeholders; building a strong understanding of strategic business direction, requirements and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories.
– Developing growth strategies to deliver against ambitious objectives for the category
– Build collaborative partnerships with external stakeholders and drive the right business inputs while delivering above par vendor experience
– Drive automation and feature development for the program working closely with Tech/ product teams
– Work with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and frugal growth
– Prepare and hold business reviews with stakeholders to review vendor performance, future opportunities, and/or challenges.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

– 7+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
– Master’s degree, or 7+ years of professional experience
– Comfortable with managing complex workstreams across multiple stakeholders
– Able to independently drive topics with senior stakeholders
– Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership and excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

– Experience managing large data sets and utilizing to drive performance and process improvements
– Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development
– Experience in product management and/or technical program management
