Job Description & Summary

Our Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team offers strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders – regional and international corporates, leading private equity houses, family offices, major banks, funds, government entities, and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions or investment opportunities. We deliver deep strategic, commercial and operational insights to help clients think through investment/divestment decisions about businesses. We advise our clients on critical operational and transformational challenges, and evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, to deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’ commercial and operational outlook. Our main focus is to deliver top strategy-led solutions to our clients.

We’re in an entrepreneurial mode looking to grow our team that will be focused on the Education sector to help our clients become commercially viable. You’ll have the opportunity to build your own career path and have a flourishing career working with some of the largest clients in the Middle East.

Responsibilities

 As a Manager within our DSO team focusing on the Education Sector, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the successful delivery of projects, which may include multiple projects at a time, while leading a team of 3-4 consultants 

  • Framing and understanding key client issues, domain specific requirements, client objectives and processes related to the mandate, defining realistic expectations for the client, team, and PwC

  • Managing the client relationship on a day-to-day basis and other stakeholders during the course of the Project

  • Structuring and ensuring the development of written reports encompassing the relevant analysis, findings and recommendations in PowerPoint and other forms as needed 

  • Managing client expectations and ensuring that the scope of work, as agreed upon within the contract, is completed to PwC’s standards of excellence

  • Managing project budget, reporting on project costs, and managing  payment collection

  • Support in driving the business development agenda in a Education, including leading pitches and proposal work

  • Contributing to the wider business unit through knowledge and thought leadership sharing, recruitment, mentoring, training and other activities 

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a strategy consulting firm with a focus on Education sector clients e.g. Higher education, K-12 operators, public sector, investment houses 

  • Sector and value chain knowledge within the ME region

  • Proven record of successfully delivering commercial due diligence projects 

  • Lead feasibility and transformation studies with public and private clients

  • Hands on experience with assisting clients in strategic planning and business reviews; growth, market entry and new market expansion; and market opportunity sizing

  • Ability to deliver significant business results that reflect strategic and creative thinking and individual initiative

  • Confident to manage multi-resource and cross- lines of service engagements

  • Using frameworks and plans to manage day-to-day execution, removing roadblocks, proactively asking for help, effectively communicating up, down and laterally

  • Comfortable providing direction, coaching and guidance to junior resources

  • Excellent writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting capabilities for all levels of audiences

  • Motivated to develop and manage client relationships 

  • Proficient in English, Arabic speaking to be  considered a plus

  • Your flexibility to travel 20% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
